2Server logs
When you open a page, the host’s servers process the data your browser sends with the request: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes this request data to provide and secure its network, as described in its privacy notice. Its network error logging can also ask your browser to send connectivity-failure reports to Cloudflare, including the affected URL and technical connection details.

Our website code uses no cookies or local storage. Video settings reset on every visit. Your browser may cache site files and Cloudflare’s network-reporting settings.
5Links to Instagram
Links to Instagram are plain links; nothing is embedded. Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) receives data only when you follow a link, and its own privacy policy applies.
6Your rights
You can ask for access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and you can object to processing (Art. 21). You can complain to a supervisory authority (Art. 77), for example LDI NRW — Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf (www.ldi.nrw.de).
7YouTube data (howitloops publisher)
howitloops publisher is a private tool that the howitloops channel owner runs on their own computer. It uses YouTube API Services to publish our own videos to our YouTube channel and to read that channel’s statistics. It works only with the howitloops YouTube channel and has no other users. YouTube Analytics data is aggregate counts. The only information about individual people it reads is the public comments on our own videos (the commenter’s display name, the text and the time), which we use to answer questions and correct mistakes.
What it accesses. With the channel owner’s permission (Google sign-in), it reads the channel’s details, the list of its uploads, each video’s title, status, duration and public counts (views, likes, comments), the public comments on our videos, and YouTube Analytics reports for our channel (views, engaged views, watch time, average view duration and percentage, audience retention, traffic sources, shares, and subscribers gained and lost). After the owner approves a post, it uploads that video with the title, description and tags we wrote, and it can change the scheduled publishing time of our own uploads.
How it uses the data. Only to publish our videos at the time we chose and to learn which of our videos work, by comparing them with each other and with our Instagram posts. We don’t sell, rent or share this data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t combine it with data about any other channel.
Where it is stored and for how long. On the channel owner’s computer only, never on a server, a cloud service or this website. Statistics and analytics are kept while our authorization is active, and the authorization is checked at least every 30 days. Other YouTube data (video details, comments) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. The sign-in token is stored locally and is never shared.
How to revoke access. The channel owner can stop the tool at any time with its revoke command: it revokes the token at Google and deletes all stored YouTube data immediately. Access can also be revoked on the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. The tool then deletes the stored YouTube data within 30 days.
Cookies. howitloops publisher sets no cookies and stores nothing on visitors’ devices.
Google and YouTube. howitloops publisher uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy. howitloops publisher’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
